Events for Foodies - May Week Two

There are few places on Earth like NYC when it comes to a diverse selection of amazing food from all around the world. To help ease the plight of your stomach, I’ve put together this brief list of some of the best food-centric events taking place this week.

Queens Taste – New York Hall of Science – May 12th

For those that enjoy food and perhaps have some ambition to get into the restaurant business, this is the premiere food event for you. More than 50 of the best food-centric businesses will be represented, each providing a variety of samples. There will also be an attendance list that boasts some of the biggest and most influential names in the industry. So stop off to eat and maybe meet someone that can help you along the way to fulfilling your dream.

Texas Chili Cook-off – Pier 84 – May 16th

Lovers of chili unite! And then head down to Pier 84 to stuff your faces with some of the city’s best. All the chili will be put together by teams consisting of folks from top-quality restaurants as well as many amateurs who feel that their creations will take the prize. So if you’re in the mood to discover the wonders of Texas chili in New York, this is the place to be.
