<p>Re: the transition of SSI into a wider sports community: (1) those who favor Dr. D shtick can think of him as joining, say, an SB Nation site. Not that many extra clicks to hit a place like LL and seek a particular author.<br />
(2) A year ago, many SSI denizens were lamenting the fact that the Shtick isn't more widely read .... :- ) prediction here is, that in a year or so the traffic will be tripled and with it comes a handful of changes in context. Careful what you ax for, Dept. (2a) You all originals will be VIPs to Dr. D when the millions arrive. Ye shall sit on twelve thrones judging Israel ...<br />
As far as the clubhouse conversation that DaddyO justifiably referenced, probably the way to recapture that would be for us all to head to the #Baseball Shout Box. Or -- GASP -- the comments threads?!<br />
That said, thanks for all the kudos you guys. And take consolation in the idea that Dr. D now has an imperative to make his shtick even shtickier ... um ...</p>
