Events for Foodies - October Week Two

There are few places on Earth like NYC when it comes to a diverse selection of amazing food from all around the world. To help ease the plight of your stomach, I’ve put together this brief list of some of the best food-centric events taking place this week.

Mario Batali and Mark Bittman: Cooking Fast & Slow - Kaufmann Concert Hall - Oct 12th

Take a seat as two of the country’s most famous cooks give a talk on the joys of both fast cooking and slow cooking. They’ve both published books about their techniques and now you have the chance to ask them some questions if you want. Or stick around after the talk and have them sign your book. Either way, it’s a great opportunity to learn a bit more about how to prepare some delicious meals.

Lopate and Locavores: The Best of NYC Delis - The Greene Space - Oct 15th

If you’re a sandwich lover, then you’re in the right city. And now you can hear three experts talk all about the history of New York’s most famous delis. At the end of the talk, you’ll even get a chance to participate in a pastrami taste test between two of the city’s iconic delicatessens.
