With so much entertainment going down in NYC, sometimes it can be hard to figure out where to go. Never fear, for I’ve put together a list of a few shows and other events that happen to be taking place this week.
PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature – Various locations – May 4th through May 9th
This amazing literary event brings more than 100 writers together from all around the world. The theme this year is Africa, so expect to hear some great talks discussing that continent and all the culture and political happenings taking place there. Individual events are taking place all over the city, so check the calendar and see if anything’s going on near you.
Bronx Week – Various locations – May 7th through May 17th
It’s an entire week celebrating everything that this region of New York has to offer. See art shows, go on tours, listen to live music, attend a film festival, shop for arts and crafts, eat delicious food, see a parade and more. There’s a little bit of everything going on during the week and it’s the perfect event for a couple of days out with your special someone.
