Horses and Boats to Celebrate March in Houston

Get out into the open air this March by setting your sights on one of Houston’s fun and unique events. Whether you’re looking for some time on the water or want to get knee-deep in animals, there’s something going on to suit your tastes.

43rdBuffalo Bayou Regatta - Buffalo Bayou - March 7th

For singles and couples that like to get out onto the water, this is the largest canoe and kayak race in all of Texas. Kids and adults alike will compete in a 15-mile race along the Buffalo Bayou. Best of all, the money raised from this event will go toward keeping the Bayou clean and maintained for future generations of Texans.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo - One Reliant Park - March 3rd through March 22nd

This great agricultural event is a fun way to get out with your special someone while at the same time helping to raise money for charity. You’ll see live music, some intense rodeo action, horse shows and all the livestock you could ever hope for. And if you happen to have kids to bring along, there’s more than enough to keep them occupied as well.
