Tasty Tuesday: Cinnamon sugar pecans

Plus cranberry-gin fizz, peppermint bark and 20 appetizers

I thought about making these cinnamon sugar pecans for my mother for Christmas since she is a pecan lover, but then I think she wouldn’t like me messing with perfection! If you have a nut lover who enjoys cinnamon and sugar, try this recipe from Baked Perfection.

How does a Cranberry-Gin Fizz sound? If it doesn’t tempt you, check out the photos and recipe and maybe you’ll change your mind!

Looking for a unique homemade treat to give out this year as a gift? Try some homemade peppermint bark. I was hoping to give out Girl Scout candy for the holidays, but our troop had such a hard time getting anyone in our neighborhood to get us started! We are half homeschoolers, which means that we don’t often receive the info they send out in schools even when we call, email, and constantly request it.

Mix your super food with your fatty food and make…pomegranate glazed donuts! I have to tell you, all of these donut recipes made me actually crave a donut for once. We went to Krispy Kreme and got some the other night and they weren’t bad. Now I’m satisfied for donuts for the next year or so! (As I’ve said before—love the smell, but not a big donut eater.)

Need to come up with a new holiday appetizer? Chef in Training has 20 ideas for you to try, from avocado fries to Southwest eggrolls. You must look at this slideshow; I’m hungry all ready!

What are you cooking this week? So far for me, it’s been easy crock pot chicken and veggies, but then I haven’t been feeling well again.
