Checking off their wish lists
If your kids are just now getting around to dreaming up their wish lists (yeah, right!) you might want to check out Geek Mom’s top holiday gifts for the year. Their recommendations are always the best, in my experience! Which holiday shopping guides do you like to go by, if any, each year? What is at the top of your children’s wish lists?
We just ordered Wood Sprite a “Zero” Funko toy (from Nightmare Before Christmas) and a Hedwig owl (she wanted a small one to go with her collection) today. Her number one item is Chewbacca slippers but her size is so hard to find this year! I wish I’d bought them last year. We usually get everything on her list because it’s always small, but her top item is a toughie this time around. (Last year, it was a pygmy puff, which I notice is on the Geek Mom list this year.)
She also wanted pajamas (done!) and duct tape (double done!). We found them both on sale and we saved a ton of money (three dollar PJs!), plus we bought her a Back to the Future poster (it’s her favorite movie) and some Goosebump books, which she is just getting into. All in all, I think we have some great items and I’m still enjoying that she’s not asking for the enormous things that so many kids ask for, like a PSP.
Wood Sprite also asked for a stuffers toy dragon (which one of her aunts is taking care of, thankfully!) and some Legends of Chima Legos, which Grandma and Pepa are buying her. I think we are all set. How is your holiday shopping going? Do you have any sales or deals to share?
