Top image is from the Seattle Times. The marketing department was able to begin planning on a Nellie Nest out there in the upper deck, but they left out a buncha stuff:

....

1. Opportunity to squeeze an article out of a 7-2 loss while re-listening the classic One Hit Wonders on YouTube

2. Of all the baseball teams extant, Mariners are easily the most geographically convenient

3. Three words: Nationals are .500

4. "Honestly, Howard, we really just enjoy the nice evening air"

5. M's are to baseball what SSI is to world journalism

6. If you can pull a vast ocean of $30 suckers out of a 4.14% demographic, what do you think you can get out of 27.98%. 'nuff said

7. If Jesus Montero will keep running under the stands for no reason, shoot, we can at least climb up them for no reason

8. Cool name: the King Uncool name: the Trumbinator

9. Things Dr. D will always say Yes to: any diet Pepsi under ten bucks

10. If we don't show, they'll cut payroll

Dombrowski would've excited me. But who can blame him for going to #Boston? Still, I wish #Lincoln/Mather would've gone after him the same way the franchise went after Cano, promising him THE MOON! If indeed Zduriencik is gone, and I hope so, this hire is way more important than signing Cano. Any number of qualified guys could have helped the temporarily challenged Red Sox. There's probably not many qualified to step into the absolute muck in #Seattle and clean things up. I don't feel the need to figure out who those guys might be.

I should clarify that when I suggest below that Nightengale's material smacks of a position already being offered to Williams by #Seattle, I mean informally. Of COURSE it has not been formally offered. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. Okay, I may be stupid, but I'm not THAT stupid. :)

Reply - mickiholley - 11/1/15 7:03am
at least you admit it...isn't that the first step...BUT no, you are in no way stupid!

It occurs to me that all the (legitimate) Mariners talk about all the drafts, all the prospects, all the trades, all the players, all the managers, everything that has consumed us about baseball over the past fourteen-plus seasons does not stack up in BASEBALL importance compared to the fundamental problem that plagues the #Seattle baseball franchise. In other words, if they would truly address and correct this single flaw, it would make more difference to the baseball future of this franchise than any array of specific moves.

What do you guys think of the Snohomish LL softball team "throwing" their game? People are debating about sportsmanship, but any sportsmanship is worthless if the tourney rules fundamentally result in a moral hazard like this case.

In any case, I was surprised at the overwhelming chiding of the Snohomish team or their coach. Indicative of the #Seattle fanbase?

The 2nd #Wild Card team (Balt,) is 5 games above .500. #Seattle has to win 14 straight games to get to 5 games over .500. Uhhhhh....No!. If we don't know by now what we're doing with Morrison then the FO is inept. If we're not keeping him, then dump him and give his AB's to Blash/Romero/Taylor/anybody....guys we might actually use next year. Marte keeps whacking like a guy that might be a MLB SS. Which would mean that Miller is a MLB LF'er...which would mean that Smith isn't really needed. Marte impacts OF'er, too.
