The distinction between covering "Mariners Prospects" and "the Mariners" continues to blur.
With the demise of Brendan Ryan in favor of Brad Miller (Talk40 #6), it's clear that, except for Felix and Iwakuma, and Rent-a-Player-Flavor-of-the-Month, the Pipeline is the Mariners.
For better or worse.

MLE's
For your convenience, here are Zunino's major league equivalencies. Remember, the idea here is that an MLE is prone to predict future MLB performance about as well as MLB performance does. It's true that 25 homers MLE (which is like 52 in AA ball?) might not result in 25 homers, big league. But then, does every major leaguer who hits 25 homers, return to that level? Not even close.
More storms left Jackson postponed again, but James Paxton (Talk40 #3) returned quickly from knee "issues."
But now there are more than knee "issues" for Jesus Montero. He has a torn meniscus and will be out of action for four-to-six weeks. Surgery required.
More storms in the heartland last night, hitting Oklahoma City (again), and cancelling the scheduled game in Jackson. Clinton managed to avoid postponement for once, though.
As first noted by "Lonnie of MC" (the majordomo of MarinersCentral.com), James Paxton (Talk40 #3) was scratched from his scheduled Tacoma start due to what was later reported to be a "minor knee problem."
