Future Mariners with Tacoma Rain

.

As far as we know, the main Detect-O-Vision Plus site is still nominally under construction.  That is fine with Dr. D, since he's had eighteen kinds of tangerine trees and marmalade skies of his own to deal with recently.

One site that is clear sailing for yer, though, is the Future Mariners sub-domain that is being worked by Jim (Spectator) and Tod (Tacoma Rain).

I'm still kinda figuring out the bells and whistles myself :- ) but under http://futurems.detect-o-vision.com, "Home" takes you to Tod's area.  This is "Stud on the Farm" territory and, below the carousel, you can sort Tod's articles by date, name, and category.

On May 27th, Tacoma Rain/Tod published a 3rd update for Clinton, our class A affiliate in the Midwest League.  This was the 2nd update, and this rat cheer was the 1st update.  Perhaps the categories on this site should be "Tacoma," "Jacksonville," "Padres" and so forth?

Florida day trips

There is so much to see and explore in Florida, why not get out for a day trip with your partner and experience some of the many attractions our great state has to offer. Here are our picks for the top three day trips in Florida.

Chautaqua Vineyards

Located in DeFuniak Springs outside Pensacola, Chautaqua Vineyards offers a lovely tour of their grounds and facility, as well as a wine tasting. DeFuniak Springs is a fun little town to explore, as well.

Good thing he isn’t a baseball player

As a child, I was always taught that the three-strike rule in baseball also applies to getting in trouble. In fact, the idea of getting in trouble three times at the same school or with the same team normally leads to a parting of the parties. In the case of the Jacksonville Jaguars and wide receiver Justin Blackmon, whether this third strike leads to a parting of ways is still in the air.

Jets shake up the quarterback position

The 2012-13 season was definitely a forgettable one for the New York Jets. Rex Ryan prefaced the season with a lot of dumb words, Mark Sanchez played himself redundant and the Tim Tebow-project absolutely failed. The Jets really have no positives to look back on during their long off-season break. The only thing they have to look forward to is hoping that next season doesn't end with a mediocre record and no trip to the post season. How are the Jets going about turning the ship around? Their answer may lie with 35-year-old veteran quarterback David Garrard.

The fall from grace is a long way down

Only a year removed from delivering an unexpected AFC West Conference win, and an even more unexpected playoff win at the hands of the Steelers, Tim Tebow does not find himself in a good spot. For those who have kept up with the drama, after the Denver Broncos scored the biggest free agent in history in Payton Manning, Tim Tebow was traded.
