The Point Resort is a beautiful and remote lodge located in upstate New York.  With just 11 guestrooms available (every one with a lakefront view), this resort makes for a perfect intimate and secluded romantic vacation away from the big city.  In addition to an abundance of peace and quiet, there is plenty to do at The Point.  Head out onto the lake and swim, water ski, fish or just cruise around in a boat.  Hike the splendid surrounding landscape.  Or come in winter and take in some cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating on the lake.  Has anyone taken a vacation to upstate New York before?  Any places you would recommend staying?
