Four couples that wish to enjoy nature but don’t want to wander too far from civilization, consider a trip to The Emerson, a great inn and lodge in the Catskill Mountains.  Just under three hours away from New York City, this can be a great romantic weekend.  Spend some time relaxing in the spa and enjoying the inn, or head out into nature.  There are plenty of places to hike, bike, fish or ride horseback.  In the winter, check out the great skiing locations.  Take a tour on the Catskill Mountain Railroad and just enjoy the amazing scenery.  Or the truly adventurous may opt for some rock or ice climbing.  Does anyone have any places in the Catskills that they would recommend?
