When one thinks Texas, one normally doesn’t think about wine, but this state has got its own thing going when it comes to this delicious drink. The Hill Country Wine Trail is one great way to both get out of the city for a day and enjoy some of the best wineries that the state has to offer. Conveniently, the trail stretches out west of Austin, so it’s a short ways out and then a cruise through some of the beautiful Texas countryside. And if you happen to be there at the right time, you can even get samples of brand new wines and be the first to try them. Has anyone had a chance to tour the Hill Country Wine Trail before? Any favorite wineries along the way?
