Friday Fun: Make and takes for Grandparents’ Day

Plus car survival kits, after-dark play outside and much more

With Grandparent’s Day just around the corner, Kiwi Crate has been posting some really fun-looking activities to do for Grandma and Grandpa. You can make these cute homemade postcards, some homemade hand scrub, or these painted golf tees. Of course, making something personal that comes from your heart is always best!

Make yourself an emergency car survival kit just in case you (or someone else) needs it sometime.

Wanna go play outside after dark? Mosquito season is almost gone, and it’s so much fun to play in the dark during the fall! Laura Grace Weldon has some cool ideas for after-dark play outside.

Make this fun egg—for bookmark it for Easter.

Try making this simple cardboard house this weekend. Wood Sprite likes to make clay furniture with her houses.

Do some cleaning on your tile with this easy recipe. OK, it’s not fun, but boy does it make me feel good after things are clean. How about you? It’s usually pretty messy around here, but I enjoy it while it lasts!

Try peeling a head of garlic in mere seconds. Then incorporate three raw cloves, twice per week into your diet for their many health benefits.

Try making these hocus pocus buns. Pretty interesting, at least! I’m not a huge marshmallow fan, but melty-marshmallows are pretty amazing.

Play a video game. Have you heard about their benefits?

Make these fun fan centerpieces.

Bookmark these fanged pumpkins for next month! Or try these pumpkins drilled with designs.

Love blue whales? Here are some fun facts.

And here’s a lovely, powerful quote from Alice Walker.
