Weekend Fun: Dragon fossils, Anansi cartoons and more

Plus Mythbusters, Pinterest, and recipes for paint and cookies

I’m still on a pretty big Song of Ice and Fire kick, so… let’s make some dragon fossils!

Listen to Jim Butcher read some of his work? Why yes, thank you!

Watch a fun video about Anansi the Spider god on YouTube. Wood Sprite really enjoyed this one, and there are a whole bunch of other ones in the sidebar to enjoy, too.

Check out this fun Pinterest board featuring ancient Egyptian crafts! Wood Sprite played the mummy game and deemed it “creepy but fun,” and she wants to make ALL of the crafts. We have our work cut out for us! I swear, I keep finding cool Pinterest boards and I think I want to join until I realize it’s yet another social network to fill up time!

Interested in the show Breaking Bad? You may want to watch the famous Mythbusters take on the scientific elements of the program and prove them true or false!

Apparently you can build an underground house for $50; here’s how.

Here’s a recipe for making paint so you’ll never have to make it again! Nice.

Make some blueberry white chocolate cookies!

Or make some gorgeous, realistic butterflies that happen to be edible. Add them to a cake for a special occasion—or for no reason other than fun.

Here’s a bunch of cute cat videos for you feline lovers out there. My family is addicted to the kittehs and we could watch these (or film them with our own cats) all day. One day I’ll have to record our cats and upload it as a blog.
