Entertainment Watch - January Week Three
With so much entertainment going down in NYC, sometimes it can be hard to figure out where to go. Never fear, for I’ve put together a list of a few shows and other events that happen to be taking place this week.
WNYC’s Annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration - Apollo Theater - Jan 18th
Head to the Apollo Theater for one of the best MLK Day celebrations you’ll find anywhere in the city. Hear preeminent scholars and community leaders as they talk about King’s legacy and the way his influence has spread and changed over the last fifty years. It’s an excellent and informative event for those that want to learn more about this amazing man.
Winter Antiques Show -
This fine event is considered by many to be the best antique show in the entire country. Only the best-of-the-best antiques and collectibles will be on display and for sale, though don’t expect them to be cheap. Whether you’re ready to spend some serious cash on something truly unique or just want to browse all these wonders of art, the Winter Antiques Show is the place to go.
