Colleges offering League of Legends scholarships

E-sports is a real thing!

This week, Kentucky's University of Pikeville announced the formation of an eSports program revolving around League of Legends, which includes a scholarship track and everything. The University of Pikeville follows the trend set by Chicago's Robert Morris college, which began with a League of Legends track and has since added Dota 2 to their roster of official college sports that students can study.

The eSports track may be easy to mock, but college administrators assure us that it is a legitimate course of study, with a rigorous training schedule, and is just as academically valid as any other form of sports. Who am I to argue? I would love to attend college to play video games!
