The insane lionfish invasion

This venomous fish puts the "invasive" in "invasive species"

The lionfish invasion in the waters off North Carolina and Florida is getting serious. How serious? So serious that these pretty, frilly, venomous fish are eating 70% of the other fish in the areas where they are present. So serious that a recent Lionfish Spear Fishing Derby brought in over 1,000 dead lionfish, and it barely made a dent in the local population.
