The New York City Marathon is almost here and for those that want to participate without actually running, watching the event is the best way to go. But finding a good spot is always a bit of a pain. Luckily, I’ve done a little research and found a few spots that you might want to check out. Lafayette Avenue is the spot to go if you want a lively crowd of neighborhood locals that treat the marathon like a party. You’re bound meet some new people as you enjoy the race. Or if you prefer something quieter, try staking out a claim on Bedford Avenue. People come out for the races, but the atmosphere is much mellower than other places. And Queens Plaza South is another great spot that turns into a party. Expect live bands to show up and a cast of lively spectators lining the road.
