New York Woman Fails to Notice Tens-of-Thousands of Bees Living in Her Apartment

One New York woman ended up with the surprise of her life when, upon the request of her neighbors, an inspection was done of her ceiling and a huge pile of bees was found. There were 17 honeycombs located in her roof and a population of bees numbering somewhere around 50,000. That’s a lot of bees to go unnoticed, but the woman claims she never really saw more than a few insects at a time. I guess these are those much-talked-about ninja bees?

The bees are currently on their way north to take up residence at a farm. There they will be allowed to live out in nature, where they belong. To make the story even more interesting, this isn’t the worst case of bee infestation in New York. A home in Queens boasted around 3 million bees at one time. How that one went unnoticed, I will never understand.
