District Attorney’s Office Clerk Gives Out Info for Crack, Gets Away with $10,000 Fine

Well here’s a joke on the city of New York. It looks like a clerk at the Staten Island District Attorney’s office has been handing out confidential information to people. That information consisted of planned investigations and arrests to be made. And what did the woman in question trade for this vital information? Crack.

Worse still, the woman was only fined $10,000 for this transgression. I’m thinking that directly thwarting police attempts to bring criminals to justice demands a bit more of a penalty. But hey, maybe catching the bad guys just isn’t that important? Sigh…
