The best parks in St. Louis

Visit the best outdoor fun St. Louis has to offer

When it comes time to get out of the house, a local park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors without spending a lot of money. Here are our top three picks for the best parks in the St. Louis area.

Forest Park

This huge, 1,300-acre park is the setting for the zoo, the history museum, the science center, and miles of great paved trails. It also has a big playground, if the kids need to work off some extra energy.

Citygarden

This new park features sculptures, fountains, artwork you can climb on, wading pools, and a big video wall. Plus it’s right downtown – so convenient!

Suson Park

If you’re looking for something a little different, check out Suson Park, which has a working animal farm on site, including cows, horses, chickens, pigs, and all the other usual farmyard animals. The park also has a central lake and a big playground.
