Crappy Swimmers Inspire Anti-Boogie Board Law

Boogie boarders, say goodbye to your beach time enjoyment, for the city of New York has just placed a ban on the use of boogie boards on any public beach. Why would they attack such a select group, you ask? Well, because the government believes that people are bad swimmers.

Apparently, the reasoning is that people use boogie boards as a swimming crutch. Thus, when a wave hits them, they get swept off the boards and may drown. The banning of boogie boards among the masses is to protect a few, less-than-intelligent people from getting hurt. And given the way people like to sue the city, it’s no wonder such a ridiculous law has gone into effect.
