Missouri day trips
When it comes to getting out and having fun, a day trip is a great way to reconnect with your partner without spending a “real” vacation’s worth of time and money. Here are our top three picks for day trips in Missouri.
The “shut-ins” are pools in the Black River caused by the unique patterns of water flow. This makes them a great place to splash around and play, especially on a hot summer day. You can also stroll the boardwalk (which provides a beautiful view of the river), and hike the nearby trails.
Visit the historic homestead where Daniel Boone grew up, which has been converted into an incredible museum of local history. The Boone home overlooks a nearby village which is a simulated town that has been faithfully relocated and decorated to be historically accurate.
