When you’re meeting someone for the first time, one of the best destinations to get to know each other better is none-other-than a coffee shop, and New York has more than its fair share of great cafes. DTUT on the Upper East Side is one place to check out. They have comfortable couches for lounging and if you stick around until later you can even share a few drinks of the stronger variety. Or head to The Chipped Cup, a quaint coffee shop for those that prefer a smaller and more atmospheric venue to hang out at. And if you prefer a bit of the unusual try the Nordic-inspired coffee shop known as Budin. It’s pretty much guaranteed that they’ll have something on their menu that you’ve never even heard of before.
