The Mole People of New York

It’s no secret that the city of New York has plenty going on beneath the surface. Tunnels lace the underground, providing the means for subway trains to move about. But sometimes these tunnels are no longer needed for their intended purpose. This is when the many homeless of the city begin to use them as a place to lay their heads.

The myth of the Mole People takes these homeless masses to a new level. It is said that entire societies have grown over the years. Some of these Mole People do not even emerge to see the sunlight any more. And woe to the surface dweller that wanders unwittingly into this underground world, for they will be killed. Or possibly even eaten. Or so goes the legend of NYC’s Mole People.
