In yet another “They’re just like us!” moment, Drew Barrymore was spotted riding the New York subway. According to rigorous investigative journalism, she was applying her make-up, wearing a hat and glasses and eating a salad. Of course, if she was trying to hide, she didn’t do that good of a job, since she ended up taking a selfie and posting it to her instagram.

All-in-all, the subway ride had exactly the effect Barrymore was looking for. She’s coming out with her own line of cosmetics soon and having herself in a “normal” situation while putting on make-up certainly doesn’t hurt the marketing campaign. To drive the point home, the picture was captioned with information about her make-up line.

Yes, celebrities are just like us - they’ll do pretty much anything to make a buck, even if it means riding the subway with the “average” folks.
