Musical Theater Watch - June 1st

One of the things that the world knows NYC for is its amazing shows. If you’re one of those that loves a good musical, you’re pretty much guaranteed that something is going on every night of the week. Here are just a few of the shows that are showing right now.

Book of Mormon - Eugene O’Neill Theatre

Fans of South Park may want to have a look at the critically acclaimed creation from Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It’s filled with their random and often raunchy sense of humor though, so make sure your date can handle it before you drag them along.

Phantom of the Opera - Majestic Theater

There are few shows that have made an impact on Broadway as profound as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s interpretation of Phantom of the Opera. It’s a show that all musical lovers should see at least once and romantic enough to be a perfect first date activity.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch - Belasco Theater - Through June 30th

The run for this show is almost up so the chance to see Neil Patrick Harris on stage is quickly coming to a close. For those that prefer something a little different than the typical musical production, this is one to put on the list.
