Batman: Arkham Night debacle

Sales of the game have been halted

Batman: Arkham Night had a pretty bad launch. How bad? At first, the Steam reviews were so horrible that they pushed the game down off the main page. The reviews blasted the game for having terrible graphics, even on high-performance PCs, users were finding their graphics were locked at an abysmal 30 FPS.

Technical glitches plagued the game as well. In fact, the game was overall in such shoddy shape that Warner Bros has suspended the sale of the game on Steam, and is giving customers clear instructions on how to request a refund.

One of the best lessons to take away from this is, "Never pre-order a game." The previous Batman games had been amazing, but you never know - the next game in a series could be so bad, the publisher stops selling it!
