San Francisco is Filled with Films

For all the cinephiles out there, the month of June is a good one here in San Francisco. If you’re in the mood for some remarkable independent movies, stop off at one of these two festivals.

SF Documentary Film Festival - Roxie/Brava/Vogue Theaters - June 4th through June 18th

Get a peak at reality in ways that you’ve never imagined with some of the best documentary films in the world. This event brings together a variety of poignant and inspiring films, covering a wide range of topics. You’ll have two weeks to check it out, so have a look at their calendar and see what’s on the playlist this year.

SF Black Film Festival - Various venues - June 18th through June 21st

Another wonderful film festival, this one is focused on bringing the works of black filmmakers to the big screen. You can see a variety of movies, but there will also be excellent talks and panels that deal with many aspects of filmmaking, so you can learn more about the process if you wish.
