NYC Event Watch - May Week Three

There’s way too much going on in NYC to know every little festival and event that wanders through. And thanks to me, you don’t have to! Here are a few upcoming and ongoing events that might be right up your alley.

BayfestEmmons Ave. – May 17th

This Brooklyn street fair has been growing rapidly ever since its inception and the crowds this year are expected to be even larger. It’s a celebration of music and food that brings the community together and offers an excellent time for all that attend. So if you’ve never tried it out, stop off and see what the fuss it about.

Lower East Side Festival of the Arts – Theater for the New City – May 22nd, 23rd & 24th

This free, three-day event offers up a wide variety of performances, from theater to music to dance, comedy, film screenings and more. It’s been going on for 20 years, each year showcasing cultural events and drawing attention to the amazing artists who make their homes in the Lower East Side. See the next generation of creative minds by attending a show or two.
