Classes and Workshops of the Week - April Week Three

Sometimes you want to spend an afternoon or a night learning something new. NYC has opportunities aplenty when it comes to finding fun and interesting classes and workshops where you can pick up new skills at (usually) reasonable prices. Here are a few of this week’s highlights.

US Sailing Keelboat Certification Class - Hudson River Community Sailing - April 17th

This class may be a bit on the pricier side, but the sheer amount of information you’ll get makes it well worth the money. Learn all about rigging, steering, tying knots and tracking the weather. It’s everything you’ll need to obtain a certification so that you can take your very own boat out on the high seas.

How to Henna Tattoo - Q.E.D. - April 18th

For those that prefer a class that’s a little craftier, learning how to make henna tattoos is a fun choice. Learn about the history of this art form along with the basics of how it’s done. Best of all, it will cost you less than the price of a typical night out at the movies.
