Events for the Active - End of March/Start of April

Feel like staying active but getting bored of running aimlessly around the block? Check out a few of this week’s NYC events for those that want to get out, have some fun and keep in shape at the same time.

Scotland Run 10K - Central Park - April 4th

Like to wear a kilt while you’re taking your daily run? Well, here’s an event that’s properly Scottish-themed. Don your best Scottish garb and join in the fun, complete with bagpipe accompaniment, by signing up. There’s even a little bit of prize money if you happen to be the best.

TNSR: Stops, Pops and Hops - Columbus Circle - Every Thursday

This fun cycling event will have you traveling all over Manhattan, experiencing some of the city’s most beautiful locations while you get a little exercise in. And when it’s all over, the 21-and-over participants will be taking a trip to East River Bar to toss a few drinks back as a much-deserved reward.
