Sometimes we get stuck in the day-to-day life of living in the big city. When it starts to get overwhelming, try taking your date to someplace smaller. Here are three nearby towns that you might want to check out. Beaumont is a great little place if you want to go shopping. They’re particularly known for their antique shops, but have plenty to choose from if you’d rather stay more modern with your purchasing. The city of Galveston is a no-brainer when it comes to short day trips. As one of Texas’ most popular tourist destinations, you’ll find plenty to do there. And another fun shopping town is Salado. Their Main Street has been rated as one of the most charming in all the state and they’re also well-known for their selection of art galleries.
