More SuperDraft to Come
Plus Valdez says he’s not going anywhere

We just started to get into the deep of the SupeDraft last week when the weekend hit. But don’t think that it’s over just yet, Seattle Sounders fans. There is plenty more draft where that came from! In fact, the break today was in honor of the Dr. King holiday. Tomorrow it will resume again. Have any predictions or hopes? Who do you NOT want to see traded at all costs—and who would you love to see traded for someone younger, faster or just plain better? Maybe you love every Rave Green player equally.

Either way, tune in tomorrow for more Superdraft news. The third and fourth rounds are still to come, as is the Sounders 76th pick overall. Seattle Sounders General Manager Garth Lagerway himself says that the SuperDraft swap really helps him fulfill the goals he set for the team. The Sounders remind us that both Andy Craven and Charlie Lyon were late draft picks and they are still going strong on the team since last year. So it is highly possible—even probable—that we will get some key players this week. Keep your eyes peeled! You can follow along starting at 11:00 AM.

And speaking of trades and transfers, Sounders FC’s Nelson Valdez is tired of rumors circulating that he will be transferred to the South American club. Valdez says that he is planning on staying in Seattle and that the rumors are totally unfounded. As we all know, rumors have to start somewhere, so do you think he was truly considering the move at some point, or that it was all just stemming from his designated player status last year?

Plenty of rumors were circulating on Twitter in particular from Spanish news sources, but Valdez was not having it! On social media, he declared, “I'm proud to be a Sounder and very happy in Seattle. Don't want to raise sb's hopes or disappoint my fans! Son solo rumores!” Of course, that means that it’s just rumors, people.

The team is off to Tucson to prepare for the Desert Diamond Friendlies! Will you be tuning in to check it out? Valdez will be there, and from the sound of it he is pretty happy to be traveling with his teammates.

Don’t forget that the 2016 game dates have all been posted, so check in to get your single day tickets in February. Season tickets, per usual, are already on sale in a variety of packages.
