Let's Look at Lloyd's Lineups
As alliterative as Abe Almonte ...

A breakdown of Lloyd's lineups through the first eight games.

I had not focused on how he's usually starting Morrison or Romero depending on pitcher, and then subbing in Saunders for the last 2-3 innings regardless.

Is that a novel approach, or has anyone seen that kind of three-way division of labor before?

How much is a Morrison worth to the White Sox (or a Saunders), who are now short an OF'er?
Could you get something young and enticing in return? With Garcia out for the year they still have three decent OF's in De Aza (LF/CF), Eaton (CF) and Viciedo (now in RF). Jordan Danks is the call up. Either Saunders or Morrison is a clear improvement. Morrison might also get the job backing up Abreu at 1B and Dunn at DH. Konerko is 38, after all.
I don't know if we can get anything worth the loss, but Chicago might be interested.

But they don't have much that the Mariners could actually use. Why trade away an outfielder? Viceido is terrible...not interested in that...the young players they have they'll want to keep. Not sure there's a fit there.
Morrison might have value to a club like Pittsburgh, though. They tried to get him in the offseason and are still short on 1B. But there is no trade market for that until Morales signs.

from your chart that Erasmo's "bad start" was without his usual personal catcher (buck)... I wonder if that had an effect? Probably not, probably just a bad day for E-Ram or a bit of dead arm...
But, I bet Buck is back in there with Erasmo's next start ;)

I'm not sure there's a fit, either...but I wouldn't avoid exploring it. I'm not sure who brings more value of our two players. We're in an interesting place, minus a RH mashing OF, there aren't a bunch of things we need filled. That includes our farm guys, too.
