Justin's 20-Team Yahoo League

Cool Papa having won it last time ... Taro, the #2 finisher that year, would have gasped round after round as Kila Ka'aihue tumbled to round 15.

Dr. D's BABVA squad, despite having 12 hitters already in a 4-man Volkswagen, finally succumbed and took Ka'aihue as BP's Forecast Manager screamed a $92 value at the top of its lungs...

BABVA's post-draft squad being:

Justin wound up with quite the rotation:

Spots still open in the AL-Only 12 Team league.

Nice draft for a 20-teamer.  I say that because there are familiar names on your team.  In the original 20-team mega league, I snagged Kila a couple of seasons ago and have been waiting for KC to give him an opportunity (actually before Smoak, hoping the M's could grab him).  I also have Fowler and Zobrist and Werth.  Oh and that new M's SP beast everyone's been talking about (snagged him in last year's short draft).  I like your team.

Justin's rotation is ridiculous.  Looks like Taro's in that other league.

BTW I'd be interested in the AL league, but I think you'd read about me as a murder victim in the papers if I stayed in the condo to draft while the rest of the family was in Disney World for the day...heh.

Career change and cross country move has kept me out of the rotation awhile.  Family's now settled in the suburbs north of
....

Atlanta.  Believe it or not.  Nice job and being able to afford a home that costs 600K in WA for 1/3 of that here helps.  Now we can provide a little better for the cherubs.  Not that we'd live in a 600K home in Seattle...

Also can't complain about the weather...so far.  I've been warning my family that the summer will be like nothing they've ever felt...

What a bummer, that being the end of the Rainiers games...
My wife's family lives in Atlanta, tho, so next time I'm down maybe we can catch some Braves bleacher seats...
Stay cool amigo...

Ortiz, Doc. He was one of top 20 or so position players under that system if I remember right (was signed up in that league till Thursday). Kila has more upside, but you can stash him on the bench until he realizes it. Ortiz is safer in the short-term.
If Kila pans out in a big way (and chances are good he could)? Wow, you've got some trade pieces there.
I'm hoping the competition is fierce in the AL-only league. 14 teams means you have to balance upside/proven ability because RL is so low.
Its too bad Russ can't join us.. Maybe next year. Any word from Mikey Jay or Inside Pitch?

Will get you contact info soon...I remember getting out to see those Rainiers games.  Definitely miss that.

Looks like our trade went thru instantly ...
Might wanna set that to at least one day... no telling what happens when some owner decides to joke around...
Or are you going to arbitrarily rule on the deals like Selig?  Which would be okay by BABVA...
The Felix for Dunn + Guthrie deal should be a no-brainer, but if anybody cared, you could run it back thru the review period ...

The trades will go through immediately, and we'll have a retrospective trade review available. If people veto the trade, I'll just 'undo' it via the Commissioner Tools. Most owners' baseball knowledge is accounted for by past performance or personal ties, probably not expecting anyone to be swindled this season (except maybe Gus, haha).
The one disadvantage of a 20-team league is that it kind of hinders trading; only really makes sense to make a deal if you're upgrading a position, but rosters are so thin that most teams can only do that by creating a hole at another position. Wouldn't expect more than a dozen or so trades over the full season.
I think Felix for Dunn+Guthrie was the ultimate win-win. You had KK on the bench and liked him as an impact everyday player, I could afford a SP downgrade and desperately needed a consistent big bat to balance out all of the high-risk guys in my lineup. You probably win the deal in terms of raw points, but it balances out with the difference of hitters vs pitchers in our points system.

I thought you had posted Wednesday.  That might have worked out, depending on the time, as it is the one night this week that I will be out of town on business.  But Thursday is a definite no.  I appreciate the offer tho.
