During the 2016 Bantam Draft this morning in Calgary, Canada, the Seattle Thunderbirds selected defenseman Jake Lee as a new team member. Lee was the 18th pick during the first round of draft selections. Lee stands at 6’1 and weighs 175 pounds. He comes from the Sherwood Park Flyers Bantam AAA team, where his stats included 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 32 regular season games. T-Birds Director of Player Personnel Cal Filson said that Lee will be a big asset to the team. “Lee is a very good two-way player who is responsible. Lee is one of the top defensemen in Alberta who is a smooth skater. He will be an impact player.” That sounds pretty promising and those stats are pretty good, too. You can visit the box office any time from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Don’t forget that game 4 is also a Whiteout Wednesday, taking place on May 11. It will be an awesome souvenir, especially when the Birds win.
