If #Seattle shows that they are serious about bringing a NHL team home, it just might happen. It seems like the NHL has been dragging its feet for some reason and it just might be that they are hoping #Seattle jumps on board and gets their ducks in a row.

If Clevenger comes to #Seattle, it *would* allow the club to stick Zunino in AAA for the bulk of the season. That's not a bad thing, IMHO.

I'd love to get a late inning reliever from the Orioles, but they're losing a couple to FA...so...I don't see it happening. Not sure what sort of players they're offering. #Seattle is expected to tender him a contract, so it's not like we'll DFA him and get nothing in return...slow play this one, please, Mr. Dipoto.

After 20 minutes of lunch-break research, I have to be of the opinion that a Trumbo trade to #Colorado (or #Baltimore or anywhere else for that matter) won't include a notable addition. The Tacoma outfield is soon to be depleted with Blash high on peoples' Rule 5 radars (speaking of athletic outfielders albeit with high Ks...). Not that the AAA lineup should be prioritized over #Seattle's, but I fear that we have lost more depth than we have gained in some ways.

If Hanley can't hit in Fenway...he can't hit in #Seattle. The second half swoon should be a major point of concern, especially for a player known for being entitled, lazy, and inconsistent. He had multiple horrendous seasons in a row for the Marlins.

Hey, Happ just got $36M for 63 great innings. If he had thrown 63 more innings with #Seattle, and rung up a 4.1 FIP/1.4 WHIP he would be looking for a $1M job. He did it by throwing 10% more fastballs. Uh, #Pittsburgh just got an expensive journeyman.

It is true that Happ lit it up in Pitt. That tands as a huge indictmet of the Mariners' ability to coach players...as do the 50 other examples of players becoming awesome the instant they leave #Seattle. My point is simply that we can't keep flushing 30 million dollar talents out of the system for two bad prospects.

Puck Daddy is also cheering for #Seattle to get an expansion team. They are hating on #Quebec...and I can really see why. #Quebec should not get an expansion team, they already had a NHL team!

Love the idea that the NHL might be delaying the expansion process because man it really doesn't want to give a team to #Quebec. That's hilarious.
