Never Call Your Girl a Slut

I know a few women who remain with men who have called them absolutely horrible names—bitch, slut, ho; the list goes on and on. By remaining with someone who calls you these things, you are acknowledging that it’s okay to do so and that you are okay with a man treating you this way. Let me be perfectly clear: it’s not okay. In fact, I don’t care if you are an actual paid prostitute; if your partner calls you these things, he or she does not deserve you.

Bad Date Movies

Heading out to the video store for tonight’s big date? That’s cool. It might even be fun; don’t forget the popcorn. And for god’s sake, don’t forget to double check what you’re renting. Though many obvious choices might seem like great date movies, they might not be as perfect as they appear at first sight. Can you still dig these films? Absolutely. You might just want to pick something else for a date you’re still getting to know. If you want another date, don’t rent one of these movies, for example…

Why Do Men Name Objects After Women?

When was the last time you heard a guy call his 1968 Camero Billy Jo or Theodore? Or his speedboat The Robert? Usually, you don’t. Or even just “baby.” These are the kinds of names you hear men utter—usually fondly—when they refer to their possessions.

It seems that men can’t own other men; only women.

Sims 3 Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties

Bachelor and Bachelorette parties were introduced with the Generations expansion pack. Get ready for some mildly salacious fun! And word to the wise: as in real life, it is not wise to invite your fiancée!
After your Sim gets engaged but before they get married, they will have the opportunity to throw a Bachelor/ette party (depending on their gender, obviously). You can hold it either at home or at a venue, and invite guests, as with any other party.

Young Girls Stuffed For Beauty in Mauritania

As annoying (and, yes, unhealthy, and even life-destroying in many cases) as it is that our culture demands a size zero in order for one to be considered beautiful, some cultures may be just as or more disturbing in their beauty trends. You might have heard about body mutilation to appear more beautiful (or to ensure a girl will not cheat on her husband, in the event of female genital mutilation), or about skin bleaching to appear whiter (the contrast of our Western tradition of tanning).
