Big Money Hates Environment, Challenges Foam Container Ban

Most people with some sort of environmental consciousness were happy when New York decided to do a good deed for the planet and ban the use of foam containers. These things are nothing but landfill fodder and their use is something that needs to be phased out across the world in favor of more responsible alternatives. But some folks aren’t that happy – mainly the people who stand to lose money because of the ban.

Freddie Gray Protests Spread to the Streets of NYC

As can be expected, the protests in Baltimore over the questionable killing of Freddie Gray by the police has spread to New York City. This Wednesday, thousands took to the streets to let their dissatisfaction of police tactics be known. And, as can also be expected, this led to several arrests.
