New York Woman Fails to Notice Tens-of-Thousands of Bees Living in Her Apartment

One New York woman ended up with the surprise of her life when, upon the request of her neighbors, an inspection was done of her ceiling and a huge pile of bees was found. There were 17 honeycombs located in her roof and a population of bees numbering somewhere around 50,000. That’s a lot of bees to go unnoticed, but the woman claims she never really saw more than a few insects at a time. I guess these are those much-talked-about ninja bees?

NYC Non-Profits Caving to Capitalistic Pressure

New York City is not a good place to try to run a non-profit organization. The rent is high and other overhead costs aren’t as forgiving as they might be in other regions of the world. For this reason, we’re seeing the death of non-profits in NYC, as big-name capitalists with big money are buying up their locations so that they can turn them into luxury apartments.

Urban Explorers Capture the Beauty of a Forgotten NYC

There are many forgotten places in a city as large as New York. These empty remnants of the past would go unseen if not for those that choose to not only risk their lives, but break the law in the process. They’re known as urban explorers and they make it their life’s duty to go where others fear to tread.
