It Looks Like Heroin’s Becoming the Latest Recreational Drug

There’s a new-old drug in New York City - heroin. It looks like the drug is making a comeback, though the target market is not necessarily what you might think. Those taking the drug seem to be primarily composed of well-off white folks and people with money to burn. Whereas cocaine used to be the drug of choice for those with cash, now it’s something a bit more dangerous.

Stupid Thief - Man Steals Paving Roller and Gets Busted

If it’s one thing that every good thief knows, it’s that you only steal what you can carry and/or get rid of very quickly. So when a guy snatches a mini pavement roller and rides away on it, you have to wonder just what was going through his head. Although, to be fair, he did manage to get the thing stashed long before police showed up. I guess no one in New York raises an eyebrow when they see a dude cruising down the street on a pavement roller?

Developers Destroy 5 Pointz Art Shrine Because Money

There’s a place down in Queens called 5 Pointz - you may have heard of it. It’s a focal point for graffiti artists and has been so for decades. Now, the great developers of the city have finally seen fit to destroy this creative holy place. Last week the demolition began and a piece of New York’s history has been destroyed forever.
