<p>David Clarkson cashed in as a free agent in 2013, when he signed a deal with the #Toronto Maple Leafs worth $36.75 million over seven years.<br />
In his first season with the Leafs, Clarkson scored only 11 points. In his second season, he scored 15 points.</p>

<p>Blues forward Partik Berglund is back! He played his first game back against the #Toronto Maple Leafs. Berglund hasn't played in nearly 8 months.</p>

The Blues are lacking players who are not afraid to get in there and make the hits and can create scoring chances too.</p>
<p>This season Jerseygate took place in #Toronto when fans became a little disgruntled with the Maple Leafs who have gone 48 seasons without a Stanley Cup.<br />
Fans protested the team by throwing their jerseys on the ice. There were 3 fans who were fined $65 and received a ban from #Toronto's Air #Canada Center for 1 year.</p>
<p>Did you see where the #Toronto Marlies, the AHL team for the Maple Leafs, became so desperate for a goalie that they signed the zamboni driver?</p>

<p>Even though the #Toronto Maple Leafs have fallen apart in more recent years, they do have the most loyal fans within the NHL. Therefore, the fact that they are the number 1 most valuable team in the NHL is not a shock. They are valued at $1.3 billion. No wonder they were able to lure head coach Mike Babcock away from the #Detroit Red Wings!</p>

<p>Pham is a terrific guy to get, but he'ls likely part of the Piscotti-Grichuk-Pham OF of the future with St. Louis, Heyward goes...I can't see them selling Pham. If Rasmus leaves in #Houston (which would be good for #Houston) then Kemp may be next man up. Pham is really the guy to get, butlike Pmopey in #Toronto, he is really valuable to his current franchise and will cost you a snot load of talent. How much are you willing to pay?</p>
<p>The #Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg has scored his 300th goal against the #Toronto Maple Leafs! That is quite the achievement for the 35 year old Swede. It was not a pretty goal but the main thing is that it counted and he is now in very elite company!</p>
<p>Kris Letang of the #Pittsburgh Penguins seems to think this is a necessity and called out the #Toronto Maple Leafs for not honoring former long-time Leaf (and current Penguin) Phil Kessel. Leafs fans went one step further and booed Kessel every time he touched the puck.
<p>With the start of the NHL season, it seems like there have been an unusual amount of blows to the head....Robbi Fabbri, Zedno Chara, Michael Raffl...just to name a few. Does the Department of Player Safety need to crack down on hits to the head? They had set standards a few seasons ago when Brendan Shanahan was head of the department. But with his departure to the #Toronto Maple Leafs, it seems as if it is a free for all as they test Stephan Quintal who took over for Shanahan.
