Montero DFA'd and claimed by #Toronto. Peralta on the 25 man and in the pen. Back-up Catcher and BP #7 to go...

Reply - mojician - 3/28/16 12:11pm

I'm glad Montero is going to get a fresh start somewhere else and hope he is a big flippin' star in Toronto. The fat jokes, ice cream sandwich gate and McClendon calling his game complete horse manure was too much bad mojo for there ever to be a happy Mariners ending.

Next season is the 100th anniversary of the NHL. It is also the 100th anniversary of the #Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Ottawa Senators are getting four players alongside Phaneuf from the Leafs. They are getting forwards Matt Frattin, Casey Bailey, Ryan Rupert and defenseman Cody Donaghey. These four players are prospects currently playing with the Marlies, #Toronto's minor league team.

Reply - mickiholley - 2/13/16 5:42pm

the 4 prospects kind of sound like trade bait.

The #Toronto Maple Leafs traded captain Dion Phaneuf to the Ottawa Senators in a blockbuster nine-player trade. I did not see this coming!!

Drouin failed to show up for the Crunch's game against the #Toronto Marlies. When the Crunch's parent club, the #Tampa Bay Lightning were informed of the no-show, the Lightning suspended the forward without pay. Apparently the suspension will remain in effect until Drouin is traded.

Reply - JulienSwift - 1/20/16 6:27pm

He was not an official healthy scratch but reports state he was there in Toronto with the other players who were officially scratched from the game.
