On a different note... DiPoto had this to say about the Trumbo trade, "I explained all of this to Mark. He’s going to an ideal place to hit but it just wasn’t an ideal fit for us on our side."

I wonder if it was Kivlehan because the M's couldn't pry someone out of another team for #Texas?

We let Kivlehan go in the Martin deal? Holy snot!!!! Big Holy Snot!!!!!!

My goodness. That move is really depressing to me. Sigh. I don't know what to say.

Well, enjoy his taters, #Texas.

Aghast, Moe....

#Texas and #Houston are both making strong moves and were already ahead. I want that lock-down BP, but one with reload capability. Two or three guys, but both quality and affordable.

Not illogical, Matt. Flores was not going to make the 25-man with Smith and Martin both LH. He also may not be ready for ST. He was gone via DFA if they didn't trade him. Sardinhas can be stashed at Tacoma, may have some upside, and Bogar and Servais know the kid and worked with him in #Texas. It may not be what we wanted from Flores in trade, but if it was the best trade Dipoto could make it does have some logic. A #Bird in Tacoma is worth two on the DFA list.

GMoney sez "Trading for a #9 hitter who doesn't walk and can't really hit much outside of #Texas is weird." Is it too late to just swap out my 1,000 words for those?
:- ) Weird, absolutely. But you had to wonder where DiPoto's miracle glove up the middle was going to come from, no?
