Mr. #Rochester was an ass. Mr. Darcy just should have said something earlier. Ivanhoe was a wuss. #Single #Villon

Q. First, the bad. Just so's we know that Doc has his head about him.
A. It's mystifying. He's played in the two TV games we've seen, and several times he has swung right through 91 MPH fastballs. I don't get that.
We're not talking about guessing curve, getting heat ... (er, I don't think so, anyway. Could that be it?). We're talking about being right on the pitch, timing-wise, and just not seeing the ball.
Memorial Day may be the three-day weekend most people associate with summer and barbecues, but others of us are, shall we say, a little more indoors-y? For the bookish, a three day weekend is a great chance to get caught up on some of that giant stack of "to read" books.

Olmsted County, Minnesota, may sound like a place off the beaten path. It is for the most part until you get to the biggest town located within its boundaries: Rochester, a city that has hosted former presidents and kings. Why? Rochester is home to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. It attracts over 2 million visitors each year. IBM and Seneca Foods also have a considerable presence in town.
Buying books as presents for friends and relatives who like trains is always a challenge. You could go the easy route and buy them a book that covers trains worldwide. However, these usually fail to make a splash unless they are exceptionally good. If you really want to impress the recipient, ask what some of their favorite railroads are. Then go in search of books about them.
Apparently hockey is still a thing? I’m just kidding. Canadians and weird Americans I can only assume don’t have channels showing NBA or NFL. After holding his position since 1997, Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff was fired on Wednesday in the midst of a slow start during the lockout shortened season.
