#Tampa would reject that deal because they can't afford Cruz, more than because they think Kiermaier is actually a better #Baseball player. :) But yes. According to B-ref...Kevin Kiermaier is about 2 wins better than Cruz at his very best...ummm...I think not.

Welcome to soft WAR! Lets hope Leonys Martin is the king of that this next year :) I guess that makes Kiermaier better than Cruz... I wonder what we would have to throw into the deal to get them to trade Kevin fro Nelson? Funny thing is... #Tampa Bay really WOULD reject a Kiermaier for Cruz swap...

Steven Stamkos is an URF at the end of this season. The #Tampa Bay Lightning have put on offer on the table to keep him in #Tampa for another 8 seasons (reportedly). So, if it is true that Stamkos has been offered a deal worth $8.5 million per season for the next 8 seasons will he accept or will he wait it out to see if another team will offer more??

Reply - InsideTheBoards - 1/27/16 6:41pm

it is a solid deal but he might be able to find a team that offers him a little more

Drouin failed to show up for the Crunch's game against the #Toronto Marlies. When the Crunch's parent club, the #Tampa Bay Lightning were informed of the no-show, the Lightning suspended the forward without pay. Apparently the suspension will remain in effect until Drouin is traded.

Reply - JulienSwift - 1/20/16 6:27pm

He was not an official healthy scratch but reports state he was there in Toronto with the other players who were officially scratched from the game.

Steve Yzerman and the #Tampa Bay Lightning have laid down what they are wanting in trade for Drouin. They want a young player whose contract they can control.

Reply - mickiholley - 1/10/16 2:13pm

Drouin is a talented player who is not conforming to what Tampa Bay hoped he would, therefore, he is wanting out.

Trade Rumor Alert: New rumor about the Blues acquiring Jonathan Drouin from the #Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.

Reply - gnomie - 1/9/16 5:06pm

Think it will go down that way?

Reply - mickiholley - 1/9/16 6:29pm

There have been so many rumors swirling since the announcement that Drouin has requested a trade

Andrei Vasilevskiy of the #Tampa Bay Lightning reminded all of us why it is important for goalies to remain in their net! In the game against the #Wild, Vasilevskiy wandered a little too far to play the puck and the #Wild scored an empty-net goal. I'm sure he was reamed by his coaches for this move but it was entertaining to watch!

Reply - mickiholley - 1/3/16 6:34pm

I bet his teammates were screaming at him to keep his butt in the net for the rest of the game.

Trade Rumor - How about a trade between the #Tampa Bay Lightning and the St Louis Blues? I'm really not kidding here! That is the laterst rumor surrounding Steven Stamkos!

Reply - mickiholley - 12/22/15 6:18am

I'm sure Yzerman has trade possibilities floating through his brain as he watches the young talent in the league

I think Stamkos is about done in #Tampa. It is like with the Oshie situation. Some thought he should have stayed in St. Louis, but he needed to get a new perspective with a new team. The same goes for Stamkos.

Reply - JulienSwift - 12/17/15 10:16am

Stamkos is a staple in Tampa but sometimes the relationship goes sour and it is time to move on.
