<p>Several walk-ons fill out the roster. One of them, local Dan Kingma, impressed Coach Romar so much with his practice efforts that he played some meaningful minutes over the second half of last season. Good looking 3 point shot. Kingma was rewarded with a scholarship this past summer for his efforts!</p>
<p>Next game is Wednesday against Gonzaga. The coaches put an end to the rivalry several years back but have put their differences aside and will renew their annual game in 2016. The #Bahamas tournament thought it would be fun to match the teams up a year early, so the young Dawgs will have their hands full this week with the #10 Zags. I'm hoping UW can keep it competitive, within double figures. Gonzaga frontcourt is strong. You might remember the name Sabonis? His kid is pretty good. So is frontcourt mate Kyle Wiltjer. If UW bigs can stay out of foul trouble we might have a chance.</p>
<p>Odd game time Wednesday looks like 9 AM on ESPN2. I'd encourage all #Basketball fans to set the DVR for this one, should be entertaining!</p>
<p>Doc I'd be happy to continue writing a bit here and there about UW Hoops. I don't think I'm a very good writer or that many people even care about the team, but I love them. On my sports fan bucket list a Mariners World Series win and a UW Hoops National Championship are like 1 and 1a, not sure which I'd prefer :) My schedule would allow for some hit and miss thoughts and opinions. Feel free to post any of my shout stuff wherever you'd like.</p>
