The KHL has fined and 'seriously warned' Spartak #Moscow after a racist incident by their fans during a game. Their fans threw bananas on the ice following their 4-1 loss. The apparent target was Medvescak’s black Swedish wing Edwin Hedberg.

Crazy Russian Billionaire Wants to Build Road from London to NYC

So what’s the best way to get from New York City to London and Moscow? Most people would advise taking a plane. But one crazy Russian guy with way too much money thinks he can do better. He wants to build a massive superhighway that traverses most of the globe, all the way from London to NYC.

Can you use an Amiibo to get free subway rides?

The popular Amiibo figurines for Super Smash Bros, which can be programmed and leveled up just like one of the video game characters, may have other benefits as well. A recent Instagram video reportedly shows someone using a Samus Amiibo to unlock a door on the Moscow subway station.

London's first pay-per-minute cafe opens

An interesting Moscow chain has come to London: the Ziferblat is a café which charges you by the minute, but food and beverages are free. It’s 3p per minute, the equivalent of $3.70 USD per hour. In other words, about the cost of a latte per hour, but you don’t have to eat or drink anything if you don’t want.

Moscow subway exchanges free ticket for 30 squats

The Russian Olympics Committee has come up with an innovative new program: commuters taking the Moscow subway can get a free ticket in exchange for doing 30 squats in 2 minutes.

I just tried doing this next to my desk, and it's a lot more challenging than it sounds!
